Beyond the thinking mind

What breathwork reveals

When we talk about accessing an expanded state of consciousness through NeuroDynamic breathwork, this is not about leaving your body, it’s about returning to it.

The felt experience of a physiological and psychological shift, into a clearer, connected state of mind.  The everyday thinking mind quiets down, and what is beneath the surface begins to reveal itself.

Emotions, memories, body sensations, images, insights. It can sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it’s intense.  Self directed by your inner guiding intelligence.

This state arises naturally through the combination of a specific breathing technique and carefully chosen evocative music. It’s a method grounded in clinical and experiential research.

Why step into this space?

Most of us live on autopilot, navigating life through conditioned patterns, stress responses, and surface-level thinking. Life is meant to be experienced not endured.

Accessing an expanded state of consciousness gives you a way to drop below the noise of daily life and reconnect with the parts of yourself that rarely have the space to be felt or heard.

Common experiences include.

  • A deep emotional release that feels like something old has finally moved
  • A sense of clarity or insight about something they couldn’t quite put their finger on
  • A profound connection to their body, intuition, or creative energy
  • Experience of vivid memories or symbolic imagery
  • A felt sense of something larger than ourselves, all it presence, soul, or source.

While every experience is unique a common thread is that people leave feeling more connected, more aware, and more alive.

Beyond breath

A tool for deep psychological exploration

This practice is rooted in the work of Dr. Stanislav Grof, a pioneer in transpersonal psychology.

We use Grof’s cartography of the psyche as a framework for understanding what can emerge in expanded states, whether it's unresolved personal material, birth-related imprints, or transpersonal experiences.

Grof’s decades of research showed that when the psyche is given space, it naturally moves toward healing. Read about types of breathwork experiences.

Knowledge to Knowing

Breathwork sits in a unique space. On one hand, it activates real physiological mechanisms—the nervous system shifts, neurochemical changes happen, and the body begins to process what’s been stored.

What’s actually felt in the body and heart can only be understood through experience.  Read more on our blog post of the science of NeuroDynamic Breathwork.

The Breath Is an Invitation

This is a powerful practice that asks for presence and care. If you’re willing to show up, breathe, and open to the possibilities, this work will meet you exactly where you are.

This is where you begin to reconnect, with yourself, from the inside out.

NeuroDynanic Breathwork is not meant as a replacement for therapy, although it can deeply support the process.
