Expanded States breathwork is designed to access altered and expanded states of consciousness through breath and sound.
The work is experiential and internally led. The process unfolds on its own terms. Sometimes subtle, sometimes profound, always grounded in integration.
People arrive through curiosity, disconnection, a desire to deepen their inner life, or a commitment to ongoing mental and emotional fitness.
Practice builds capacity, in how you regulate, relate, respond, and remain present.
The Session Structure

A brief introduction covers the breathing technique and what to expect, so you can feel prepared and at ease.

With 60 minutes rhythmic breathing and immersive sound, where attention turns inward and the process unfolds.

Space is held for reflection and integration, so what’s been experienced can settle and be carried back into daily life.

Bringing awareness to what unconscious conditioning, fears and survival patterns have shaped you.
Opening a pandora’s box of sorts, narrative and emotional integration.

An internal freedom to live through conscious choice.
You bend without breaking. Flexibility replaces rigidity. Creativity, potential and expansive awareness are no longer constrained.

The Journey
Resistance. Chaos. The illusion of no progress. Deeply rooted fears & limiting beliefs surface.
You begin to separate from the survival self and remember who you are. No longer confined by the version of yourself you constructed to survive.
4
The Descent
There comes a point where the old way of being can no longer continue. You feel tested, stretched, dismantled.
You are asked to let go of who you were and step into who you are becoming, often a most difficult crossing.
Yet deep within, there is hope.
The Art and Science of Breathwork
The combination of physiological, neurochemical, and psychological processes in Expanded States Breathwork facilitates altered consciousness. These changes include:
- Decreases in CO2
- Changes in blood ph (alkalinity)
- Surge in dopamine and adrenaline
- Limbic system activation for emotional release
- Parasympathetic activation for deep rest & integration
Equally important is the subjective experience which often feels beyond explanation.
About Fiona
I'm Fiona a NeuroDynamic Breathwork facilitator, Relationship Mentor & Yoga Teacher based in Galway, Ireland.
My approach is grounded, non-intrusive, and deeply respectful of each person’s internal process. Shaped first and foremost by my lived & embodied experience and drawing on training in interpersonal neurobiology, attachment, and body-based practices, I create a clear and safe container for expanded-state work to unfold.
This practice is guided by clear ethical boundaries, informed consent, and a commitment to staying within scope. The breathwork is internally led, with an emphasis on integration, responsibility, and care beyond the session itself.
