The Art and Science of Breathwork

The combination of physiological, neurochemical, and psychological processes in Expanded States Breathwork facilitates altered consciousness. These changes include:

  • Decreases in CO2
  • Changes in blood ph (alkalinity)
  • Surge in dopamine and adrenaline
  • Limbic system activation for emotional release
  • Parasympathetic activation for deep rest & integration

Equally important is the subjective experience which often feels beyond explanation.
